ST. LOUIS—April 8, 2009—GenoMed® (OTC Pink Sheets GMED.PK), the Public Health Company™, announced today that it has committed to purchase Offshore HRM, a medical coding company with expertise in setting up call centers in India and the Philippines, for a combination of GenoMed restricted stock and cash.

HRM, or healthcare revenue management, is how doctors’ offices and hospitals are reimbursed by health insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. Doctors and hospitals cannot get paid unless their services are coded properly. Offshore HRM specializes in not missing any opportunities for reimbursement. Training coders takes 3 months.

Offshore HRM recently established a 200-person call center in Bacolod, the Philippines for another client. Offshore HRM will recruit Philippine physicians and nurses and train them in GenoMed’s algorithms so that they can take care of paying patients.

Said Dr. David Moskowitz, GenoMed’s CEO, “GenoMed is engaged in two major activities: managing patients and doing research. Offshore HRM will allow us to manage patients on an enormous scale. They will help us market to patients in the Philippines, a country of 90 million with an extremely high prevalence rate of diabetes. They can also market to physician groups who hire them to do coding, since GenoMed can add further to physicians’ revenues. Offshore HRM will set up protocols for communicating with patients and recording clinical outcomes data in a HIPAA-compliant way. And they will contribute to GenoMed’s revenue stream through their coding activities.”

Paula M. Hall, LVN, Offshore HRM’s COO, said, “We are delighted to become part of a publicly traded company that is the pioneer in delivering low-cost healthcare. Like GenoMed, our mission has been to provide the highest quality work at the lowest possible cost. We pass our savings on to the customer. GenoMed’s Disease Management is a logical extension of what we already do.”

Ms. Hall, a former dialysis nurse, ended by saying, “It is a particular pleasure for me to help Dr. Moskowitz try to make the Philippines dialysis-free. I’ve seen the horrors of dialysis, and I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. I’m thrilled that Dr. Moskowitz has found a simple way to prevent most of it. We look forward to working with him to implement his protocols for patients in the Philippines as well as the rest of the world.”
